Next Club Outing 7th August.
Caernarfon do Caernarfon
With a Royal Town and a World Heritage Site as our backdrop let’s get some different shots of Caernarfon. Photographs of the castle from across the Aber Bridge won’t be on the itinerary! Let’s have some different angles.
This will be a good opportunity to get some entries for next year’s “People” competition.
To make it a little more of a challenge how about concentrating on three themes for the day:
- 1: Pictures of the town’s old buildings, statues, bridges, signs, nooks and crannies. “Have a look up” - there are some gems of old name plates, lettered company names, windows that we seldom notice.
- 2: Black & White. Something that you would be proud of converting to mono.
- 3: People of the town, shoppers, revellers, tourists, down & out, up & coming, queuing for a KFC, chips, having a pint etc.
Many of you posted you photos from the last trip onto the Clubs’ Flickr site. If we set up a discussion link on the Flickr site, we could load up our best images from the three themes so that we can see what we captured on the day.
To get the atmosphere and the warm evening light let’s meet at 4.00 p.m. This should give us enough time to catch the shoppers and then the revellers (!!!!!!) - we could have a fish & chips get together or a picnic on the front and maybe catch the sunset.
Tentatively, the meeting place will be outside the front of the Harbour Restaurant (next to Y Galeri) at 4.00 p.m. See map below
