Caernarfon Camera Club - 2010 Outings

A series of outings are planned for the summer break, for information please contact Ken Latham: 01286 650718 or by e-mail.
The first outing will enable members to take shots for the forth coming exhibition at the Slate Museum.
A couple of local evening walks are also hopefully to be pencilled in.

May 16th - National Slate Museum and Dinorwig Quarries.

June 20th - Cwm Idwal Circuit.

Gorffennaf 11fed - Parc Glynllifon near Llandwrog

Parc Glynllifon is situated on the Caernarfon - Pwllheli road.

Type of venue:
Walled gardens and arboretum. Water features – fountains, waterfalls, bridges, river – all dependant on rainfall beforehand.
Craft workshops (if open). Sculpture trail and follies. Tall trees! Also a steam engine (if running). Café if you need it – public loos too!

I understand that there is a photo exhibition on there from the 10th – it’s entitled The Best of Welsh Photography. But that of course
can’t be true as we don’t have any photos in the collection – unless some of you have! In which case it should be called “ some of the best…….”!!

Good walking boots / shoes. Bring food & drink if you don’t want to use the café – it could be a fair walk back to it. Anti midge spray if it’s calm & damp!

Parking is free but there is an admission fee into the Park of £4 for adults and £2 for pensioners. We will try to negotiate a “group admission fee” for us but we can’t promise anything.

Meet at 10.30 a.m. in Glynllifon PARK’s car park (not at the college’s car park). Turn LEFT immediately after going though the main entrance archway.
